DO YOU NEED A DIVORCE?

The main reason that you may need a divorce is to allow you to legally marry someone else.  Your rights to division of property, custody and access and support are all available to you on separation whether or not you are divorced.

You may however want a divorce to sever the psychological ties with your spouse.

 

The cost of the divorce will depend on the province or territory that you live in because each province or territory has its own court filing fees.
